Article Submission Guidelines

All articles are subject to review and approval and may be edited for grammar, length or content. 


Articles should be informative and address timely and relevant topics in your area of expertise.


Articles must be emailed as an attachment to CamCoWoman@aol.com. Please provide us with a Microsoft Word document. 

 

Please provide a title/headline for article:  35 Characters per line. Two line maximum for full page editorial programs.

Please include a byline (name and title of author presenting the article). Be sure to include any credentials (M.D., Ph.D., etc.)

If providing a professional headshot, photo must be at least 300 dpi.

If providing a bio, a 50 word bio is preferred.

Word/character counts:

Full Page Sponsored Editorial Program

Article length without ad: 1,125 words (6,550 total characters)

Article length with a 1/2 page ad: 600 words (3,400 total characters)

Article length with a 1/4 quarter page ad: 830 words (4,850 characters)

All full page programs may have a custom-sized ad provided article text can be edited as necessary to fit full page area.

3/4 Page Sponsored Editorial Program

Article length with a 1/4 page ad: 600 words (3,400 total characters)

1/2 Page Sponsored Editorial Program

Article length without ad: 600 words (3,400 total characters)

Article length with a 1/4 page ad: 280 words (1,575 total characters)

Please note:

To include a professional headshot with byline, deduct 50 words/300 total characters from article length.

To include a bio, deduct 50 words/300 total characters from the article OR total word/character count of  supplied bio.  A 50 word bio is preferred.

To include both headshot and bio deduct 100 words/600 total characters from article length. 

Total characters INCLUDE spaces.

Display Ad Specifications:
Hi-resolution PDF files with all fonts embedded are preferred. Other file types accepted include: QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign (with images and fonts). We do not accept ads created in Publisher, Word, Powerpoint, Ad Creator or Corel Draw. Allow at least 1/8" bleed outside the trim on all sides for full-page bleed ads. Allow 1/2" live area inside the trim for all full-page ads that are non-bleed.
