I
used to wonder if readers actually read my Publisher’s note. Based on
the number of phone calls and e-mails I received following my column in
the June/July issue about my year in Girl Scouting, I no longer wonder
about this. How exciting it has been to hear from other women who
attribute their personal and professional success to this wonderful
organization. I am collecting these stories to share with our readers
in an upcoming issue. Consider this an open invitation to e-mail your
story to me.
It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over.
Shortly, I’ll be driving one daughter back to college; shopping for
school clothes and supplies with my daughter who is entering her junior
year in high school; and helping my daughter who is a school teacher,
decorate her second grade classroom. Seems like just yesterday I was
waving goodbye and blowing kisses to them at the bus stop. Where has
the time gone?
Seems like the weeks are getting shorter as I
get older. Could have something to do with the fact that I’m always
facing a deadline. No procrastinating in this business!
As I put
this issue to bed I am busy preparing for the next issue and our
upcoming Women’s Expo on Saturday, November 14 at Hartford School in
Mount Laurel. If you’re one of the 1,000+ women who have been to our
Expo the past two years, you already know what a fabulous event it is!
If you haven’t, be sure to mark your calendar! This is one event you
won’t want to miss!

I look forward to seeing you, your mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, best friend, and female co-workers on November 14!
All the best,
