The National Headache Foundation (NHF) is launching “Headache U:  It’s all about YOU,” the first headache education program of its kind designed to help people with headache take important steps toward getting relief. The program is offered beginning today on the NHF website at www.headaches.org.

Its origin is directly from a glaucoma medication that ophthalmologists have been using for the treatment of elevated eye pressure.
The abuse of alcohol and prescription drugs among the senior population poses a serious public health threat to New Jersey.  Seniors 65 and older are a growing segment of the population, making up 13 percent of New Jersey’s population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2003 population profile of the United States.
“It seems that more and more couples are having trouble getting pregnant. Why is that?” One reason is that women in today’s society frequently postpone child-bearing while they pursue a career. In general, fertility declines with each passing year after a woman’s 34th birthday. The chance for successful conception drops even more sharply after the age of 40.  After age 46 live births are rare.

By any measure, Joseph was an exceptional teenager. An excellent student, he brought his sensitivity to his writing, violin playing, and figure drawing. If he was passionate about nature – and he loved camping and hiking – he was even more so about his relationships with family and friends. He also struggled with depression. 

At age 17, Joseph killed himself.

When a 63-year-old female patient was found to have an abnormality on her mammogram, she was referred to Dr. Arnold Baskies. The mammogram revealed an abnormality that doctors said could be breast cancer. The only way to know for sure was to perform a breast biopsy.
