Sponsors' Seminar Presentations

Session A (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM)

EVENT SPONSOR:  HOPE Medical Spa & Holistic Health Center (formerly Bella Medical Skin Spa)
Redefining Excellence in Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology:  "Discover Your Beauty Beneath"

 Presented by Dr. Nadia Chaudhry

Patients often ask “Is it truly possible to turn back the clock and reverse aging in a safe, dramatic, and healthy way?” The answer, yes it is!  Clinical advances in laser and cosmetic dermatology have resulted in a myriad of nonsurgical, minimally invasive treatment options for patients.  In this seminar we will discuss these new advances in laser and cosmetic dermatology and creative solutions for skin and body. By addressing the core issue of skin aging, new advances in medical laser treatments can reverse the aging process – literally. Many anti-aging dermatologic procedures can take years off a woman’s complexion, but these procedures go beyond that to improve the health of the skin itself. And healthy, rejuvenated skin ages much more gracefully than unhealthy, sun-damaged skin. We can help you “discover your beauty beneath.”

Session B (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

EVENT SPONSOR:  Replenish Center for Natural/Bio-Identical Hormone Restoration
“Bio-Identical Hormone Restoration as a Means of Restoring Optimal Function”

 Presented by Camille Semple-Daly, D.O.

If you experience: Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Sleep Disturbances, Mood Swings, Irritability, Memory Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Fatigue, Vaginal Dryness, Decreased Sex Drive, Fatigue, PMS, Menstrual Irregularities or Fibromyalgia, join us and learn how Bio-Identical Hormone Restoration (BHRT) can help alleviate your symptoms.BHRT is the art and science of restoring balance to decrease the unpleasant symptoms and treat diseases caused by hormone imbalances.  BHRT uses hormones with the same structure as the hormones produced naturally by the human body (100% identical).  Specialized testing is performed to pinpoint which specific hormones are out of balance. This is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to restoring balance.  It is as individual as you are.

EVENT SPONSOR:  Dental Choice, P.C.
“Oral Health Links to Physical Health”

Presented by Melba Bonelli, D.M.D.

Learn of the physical diseases that are most commonly linked to poor oral health.  Diseases such as Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, Respiratory Disease, Pancreatic Cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease. Pre-Term and Low Birthweight babies will be discussed. Medical research findings will be discussed as well as practical ways to preventatively avoid and treat oral health diseases that affect your physical health.

Session C (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)

EVENT SPONSOR:  Associated Cardiovascular Consultants PA
“Non-Surgical Procedure for Varicose Veins”

Presented by Nasser Chaudhry, M.D., FACC

It is estimated that 40% of women in the United States suffer from varicose veins, spider veins or venous insufficiency. Leading causes are heredity, gender, pregnancy and age.  Dr. Nasser Chaudhry will discuss new strategies to lessen symptoms and new treatment options like endovenous ablation laser treatments (EVLT) and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. Both of these procedures can be done in the office, which means no hospital stay, minimal pain and a 95% success rate.  At the Associated Cardiovascular Consultants, Venus Vein Center, we can help you get relief from your problems and back to your life with a minimal recovery time.

EVENT SPONSOR:  Cooper Institute for Reproductive Hormonal Disorders
“In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Does Not Have To Be Expensive”

 presented by Jerome H. Check, M.D., Ph.D.

The fertility process with the highest success rates is known as in vitro fertilization (IVF). For those who are not covered by insurance, and there are plenty of women who are not, it also is by far the most expensive procedure. Dr. Check will discuss an almost-free method of doing IVF. Another method that will be discussed will be the protocol of using less stimulating drugs, which will not only save money but can also achieve higher pregnancy rates. Less stimulating drugs can lead to less eggs to fertilize; thereby dramatically reducing the cost of a fully-stimulated cycle. In addition, Dr. Check will discuss how an effective frozen embryo program can markedly decrease the cost of IVF. Finally, he will emphasize that attention to detail can allow couples to achieve pregnancy without IVF, resulting in the biggest savings of all.

EVENT SPONSOR:  SendOut Cards
“Greeting Cards and the Law of Attraction”

presented by Judy Hines

How did you feel the last time you received a handwritten note of appreciation or recognition from someone?  More importantly, when is the last time you sent such a note?  There is awesome power in a personal note. This seminar will teach you how you can use SendOutCards.com to send a greeting card through the U.S. mail in about the same amount of time it would take you to send an e-mail and at a cost of about $1 per card.  You will learn how you can use this tool to attract whatever you would like more of in your life -- more friends, more business referrals, more income, etc.

Additional Seminar Presentations:

Session A (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM)

“Coping with Loss During the Holidays”
presented by Tom Simms, R.N., CHPN, Lighthouse Hospice, Inc.

The holiday season can be a particularly stressful time of year, especially the first one after the loss of a loved one. Friends and family members may be unsure how to act or what to say to support the bereaved. More importantly, the one who is grieving may not know what to tell their family or friends to do either. Often, the one who is grieving a loss feels isolated and alone. During this presentation, participants will learn, through an interactive process, how to define loss and identify meaningful ways of dealing with these situations and the emotions that often accompany an experienced loss.

“Your Body Knows Best”
presented by Donna Meyer, CPC, CHC, Transformations Holistic Learning Center

Have you noticed that some people lose weight following a particular diet and you don't experience the same level of success? Would you like to finally figure out what foods work for you and which foods you should avoid? There is not a "one-size-fits-all" diet. In this workshop you will learn how to eat according to your own bio-individuality that includes your blood type, your ancestry and your own metabolic rate. You will walk away with a better understanding of how to approach your own eating plan to achieve your optimal weight and energy level.
